No, the school does not have any quotas or reserved seats. However, subject to vacancies, one can follow the admission procedure.
Are children who have attended Playgroup at a school other than Gurukul eligible for admissions to Junior KG at Gurukul?
Yes, children need not have attended Playgroup at Gurukul to seek admission to Junior KG. However, admission will be subject to meeting the appropriate age requirement as mentioned in the school prospectus, as well as the availability of seats.
When are forms available for admission to Gurukul?
For admission to Playgroup, the forms are available on the website from the first Saturday of December, each year. For all other classes up to Std. X, the forms are available from the third Saturday of March each year, subject to the availability of seats.
Can a child seek admission to Gurukul for a period shorter than the academic year?
No, the school admission policy does not have any provision for attendance shorter than one academic year.
When and how are school fees to be paid?
All fees are to be paid half yearly, on or before the date mentioned in ‘Fees’ on the website. New parents can make the payment by a cheque drawn on a local bank for the first term. Online payment facility is available from second term onwards.
Does Gurukul provide transportation for students?
Yes, the school provides transport for Pre-primary to Secondary school children. It is mandatory for Primary and Secondary school children to avail school transport. However, Pre-primary parents are permitted to drop and pick up their children.
What kind of food is provided to the students at school?
Gurukul provides nutritious and balanced meals to the students who opt for school food. Parents are encouraged to make an appointment with the school office to spend a day at school and sample the food that is served. Further, parents are reminded to inform the school about any food-related allergies that their child may have. In such cases, the relevant medical documentation would be required by the school office.
Can a child who is slightly unwell attend school?
No. The school strongly recommends that the child be kept at home if she/he is unwell.
